offering original relief prints, wearables & handprinted stationery

Maryana Rivera

printmaker

I have experimented with different mediums throughout my lifetime, finding success with scrollsaw work - focusing on signage and freestyle lettering. Relief printing came naturally, as I was familiar with the reductive process of removing material to bring forth an image. The piece is already there, I'm removing the background. Sometimes it is better than others.

While I plan to venture into screens and more color blends, I am most passionate about carving and innovation in the modernization of analog printmaking in our digital world. I love print exchanges and idea sharing with others in the field. Aside from my silly professional side, I am a mother and a woman and this is not poetry, just a brief description of myself.

Sustainability

I am committed to working as environmentally friendly as possible, opting for safe-wash inks and recycled archival papers. I've innovated packaging to use natural hemp string wraps instead of plastic.

I love being part of a community of artists who strive to neutralize our impact on the environment create with intentional respect for the natural world.

CALL FOR COLLABORATIONS

This year, I would like to make more band / singer / performer show flyers or mini-posters.

I also have some ideas about images for podcast episodes and similar promotional materials for others in the creative field. I am open to trades and I regularly donate and gift such projects, so please don't hesitate to let me know any ideas you have without preoccupation about possible cost.
